Spring Artist fever
Finally it’s here..I think!! The robins are singing sweetly early mornings,and the crocus is poking it’s purpleness above the chilly earth.here in Ontario ,Canada the seasons changing are a big deal. Our winters start in November and continue into April.. the sunshine and the appearance of life again in our environment is achingly welcomed! Spring and Summer can be times where we don’t want to be glued to our screens so it may present as a break for some of you -to get outside and enjoy the bounties of the season! I hope you make time for yourself to sketch, make , design ,paint , sew wherever you are !

This newsletter and group originated from an expressed need to gather to connect with others about the business of art as well as serve as a percolator for ideas and projects ! - When originally thinking of this companion piece to Ageless artist I thought it would be important to address some of the obstacles to art making ,share ideas and celebrate who we are as artists! The jetpack club is a branch of this larger group which is all about community.
Through these unnerving and uncertain times art and community can serve as a salve to the chaos and events out of our control .
I have been more than delighted over response from you ! Some of you choose to quietly participate in the background sometimes adding comments to my posts while others are involved more actively in our Jet Pack Artists Club - attending zoom meetings, sharing your art,links and ideas in chat and working on common projects each month..
I have been enjoying experimenting with the gelli plate!
NEW! I have reinstated the option of accessing archives for past posts -including some wonderful interviews from our member artists !
I am hoping to reactivate interviews with you -and I know it can be affirming and interesting to learn more about your artist peers and their paths. I am seeking artists who are 50+ and who are still actively creating and or selling their work . Let me know please if this is of interest to you !

Our next project will be : “Small is beautiful” - Create something in the media of your choice no larger than 3 x 5 inches -deadline June 8th
